How many different alarms (as in wake up alarms) do you have in your phone and how long have you had it?
IPhone, 1 year.
46 alarm clock times.

IPhone, 1.5 years.
2 alarm clock times
NONE.
All my alarms are on my watch - mostly because my husband and I have conflicting schedules and I put my watch on if I know I need to be up before him.
Same. But I prefer to set my alarms (2) 5 minutes apart on my phone and one on my Google home speaker 10 minutes after that. Mornings can devolve into a contact sport in our house.
My oldest son (14) is my second alarm if I donāt get up in time. God bless that child. When we BOTH sleep in - itās 100% chaos getting out of the house.
iphone, about 7 months
3 alarms
But I use the timer function a lot, mostly for cooking and for limiting wimsey jrās ipad time. Iāve got 13 of those on the ārecentā list
Zero alarms, for about 20 years. I wake up between 3-3:30 AM no matter what. Itās a curse.
If I need to be up earlier than that Iāll set an alert on my phone but usually wake before that goes off.
Do you use all 46 regularly, or just have a bunch that you may only use once every month or three?
I only have 2 on my phone: 1) weekly landscape watering reminder and 2) reminder once a week late night meeting for work.
Not counting wake up time in morning. I have a desk clock that does that, as I do not keep my phone in bedroom at night.
Set only on Mondays when I have an appointment with the trainer or any other day I need to get up early.
One pair at 04:10/04:15 on swim days, to make sure I get to the gym and snag a lane spot as soon as it opens at 05:00 (actually ~04:45 because the front desk people are cool and open the doors early for us).
Another pair at 04:30/04:40 for ānormalā gym mornings when I donāt need to get there quite that early.
The other one for 06:30 that I use when I decide to sleep in, so I donāt miss my first call (either 07:30 or 08:00).
I use random ones occasionally (like a couple of weeks ago when we got a decent snowfall, I took my daughter to/from work⦠she gets off work at 23:00 so I set an alarm for 22:45 to make sure if I fell asleep I woke up in time)
6 alarms:
Two at 4:xx am, 10mins apart once a week for a biz travel trip (I choose to travel same day rather than night before). 10mins apart in case I sleep through the first alarm.
Two at 5:xx am set 10mins apart. These are used when itās a car racing track weekend. I choose to drive to/from track each day.
6:xx for normal wake up. Which Iām usually up well before that naturally.
8:00pm reminder (until I get through a current antibiotic regimen). This last alarm is the one I edit/change depending. The others I donāt touch.
One of the joys of retirement is never setting an alarm. I think Iāve set my alarm five times in the last year and those were travel related.
Same.
Iām looking forward to deleting my 4:xx am one.
I feel you on that looking forward to some day not having the 4:xx alarms. I start work at 5:30 and have a 35 minute commute, so my first alarm is 4:30, which gets snoozed once, and then another at 4:45 to make sure Iām up.
Iāve had my iphone for over a decade at least now. I just counted, 116 alarms. Starting at 2:38am and the latest is 11:42pm. Most fall between 4am and 11am. Because its been so long its all the alarms from high school, college, different work start times (sometimes shift work), and travel alarms. I would normally just create new alarms, and usually have 2 a few minutes apart. Now almost none get used because I normally use my Alexa to wake me up.
Heres a list starting at 6am
6am 05; 10; 20; 21; 30; 31; 34; 35; 41; 42; 45; 50; 54; 55; 58; 59;
7am 06; 07; 10; 13; 15; 20; 22; 30; 31; 35; 41; 45; 50
etcā¦.
Iāve had it about 6 months and itās only ever had one alarm. I edit as needed. It rarely ever goes off because Iām normally awake already.
Iāve had my phone since 2022, and I have maybe 2 or 3 alarms. One recurring weekday alarm at 0530, and a couple from recent travel. I tend to delete them when I donāt need them. I also tend to delete old text conversations, delete my deleted emails, clear out my junk mail, and get rid of old apps I donāt use anymore.
I generally donāt like having that stuff hanging around as clutter.
The only ones I use repeatedly are the three that I wake up to on my 24h shifts (0330/0335/0340) and 1500 when I wake up after those shifts to get kids from school. The rest are random, occasionally reused wake ups in between. Airport, hotels, practice and game reminders etc.
What time do you naturally wake up?
The number of people on this thread who have alarms set at 5:00am or earlier surprises me. Definitely not my life as a night owl. Anything before about 6:15 qualifies as getting up really early for me.
As far as Iām concerned, thereās only one 4:xx in a day unless something really weird is happening.
