A blonde's brain and GPS system

for the second weekend in a row i got myself horribly lost while out on a ride. this time i was alone and had limited fluids, which could have spelled disaster.

the stupid part is that i had a map. a good one. but i just couldn’t figure it out. of course, i blame this on the heat, the sun, and hard riding–not my intellectual capabilities…lol. i’m sure i’m not the only person to have been out on a hard ride, go brain dead, only to see the route clearly once home and cooled off from a hot day (right???)

anyway, i’d like to not get myself in this kind of situation again–as doing so could have horrible consequences.

so, my question is, do any of you ride with a GPS? do you think it would be a good tool for someone who cannot read a map during a ride, even if her life depended on it?

thanks for any insights  ,

I’d be in safe mode too if you were the one calling the shots!

uhm…ok.

A Blonde’s brain? And I thought you were a flame-haired temptress! Another fantasy gone!

no, but i was a red head in college. it was fun, but time for a change.

Doh, and you changed your profile too. I liked the torch singer profile more.

well, the truth is i really am a lounge singer, but ran into a situation with a persistent fan…so i had to change it. for some men, when i sing like erthel merman, they just go bezerk. go figure…

Garmin 301-- gps, bike computer, run computer and HRM one neat package.

Set home and go for a ride then hit the find home button GPS does the rest all you have to do is ride and read the screen.
