920xt aftermarket band

I rarely use this watch and keep it in my gear bag as a spare. Grabbed it today, and the band was broken.

Looks like there are lots of aftermarket options. Anyone using one?

I haven’t found one to rival the quality of a Garmin original replacement. Tried a couple with good reviews but they didn’t last long. I use the Garmin quick release kit so the extra twisting load on the strap when I remove the watch to use it on the bike or to charge it may be contributing to the damage to straps.

I’m glad the one I got wasn’t Garmin quality…

I kept going through Garmin straps, they’d only last about 10-11 months before breaking. Finally decided to try one of the cheap silicon straps on Amazon, that one has lasted me a few years now. And better yet, I used to get a rash on my wrist from the Garmin straps, that hasn’t happened with this one. The only downside was that the loop that holds down the loose end of the strap didn’t last long, but I found cheap replacements for those on Amazon as well…

Bought this one from Amazon.ca and it’s been great. No issues. Only thing I personally don’t like about it is it has 2 loops to keep the extra band in place once you find your size. Sometimes it’s a pain to get the remaining band in through both loops. It’s just my personal opinion.
Other than that it’s great. Bought in June of 2021 and going strong.

I bought myself a Forerunner 205 for a Christmas present in 2004. I’d turn it on before going for a run and leave it on a chair next to our kitchen window while I was waiting for it to find some GPS satellites. I was still using it in 2010, and one day our dog grabbed it off the chair and started running around the house with it in her teeth. By the time I got it back, she’d chewed through the strap. I phoned Garmin support and asked if they had replacement straps. The answer I got was something to the effect, “That’s a pretty old device and I don’t think we carry anything for it anymore. But I’ve got a spare strap here on my table and I’ll send it to you, no charge.” Made me a happy Garmin customer!

After many replacements I found this one to be the best. Super comfortable and might try to find one for my new 955

I’ve used an eBay silicone replacement strap. The problem for me is that the holes are not punched out close enough to the watch to be tight enough on my skinny wrist. I cut the holes out with an xacto knife and that works. Until the sharp corners I make lead to a crack and then a split band. Just ordered a two color version that seems to have the holes formed in the band close to the watch.
