Just got the congrats on finishing ironman Tulsa email with my official results and AWA points. Inside was a $75 off coupon to any available 2023 70.3 or full ironman race.

I’ve don’t believe I’ve ever gotten this before? Anyone else seen it ever?

My cynical thought is that IM will raise the entry fee for all events by $75.

I got one from my Gulf Coast race. Ironman is desperate to fill up late season races. This isn’t a good sign for them.

They’re not going to lower prices across the board. Essentially this is a way of lowering prices for regular customers.

It’s valid for races in June and that’s certainly not late season.

Wrong. It means that you have until June 6th to find an available race and apply the coupon before it expires.

This crossed my mind as well. I looked into a few fall 70.3 and saw around $400 to register. I seem to recall around $300-$350 for a 70.3? Maybe before inflation/covid?

It needs to be spent by June, the races can be at any time.

congrats on the finish! How was the weather that day? I’m in Stillwater (75 min away) during the academic year - flew out the Monday before that race for the summer.

Absolutely ideal. Water temp was 74. Air temp all day never exceeded mid 70s. I never felt warm all day (although I’m in texas so I’m used to hot). Also has no wind for 95% of the bike course and the big that did wasn’t bad, maybe max 10 mph

By far the best ironman race conditions I’ve ever had
