I see different answers, but I think it’s because the race used to be in April when the water is warmer.
Was the swim wetsuit legal in 2018? I’ve read yes, and no!
This years race is on 3/17/18.

I did the race in March 2017 . . . I emailed the local race director. He said that in 20+ years of directing races in PR they have NEVER had a wetsuit legal race.

I really dont believe that will ever be wetsuit allowed.
The date shift is not material - it’s already hot there. Plus the swim is in a lagoon, not the ocean. Forget this wetsuit fantasy.
