Epic …Just Epic…Have at it.
Is this an attempt to swim 50 m as fast as possible while doped to the eyeballs? Asking not because I’m too lazy to click on the video, but because I’m too principled to. Sorry
Mixed feelings. My first one after realizing what this is supporting is, Sadness then Disappointment. At least they’re open about it, but this video feels like everybody is celebrating it. I don’t like the thought of normalizing doping. The comment made around 12:30 in, “Over 50% of athletes are doping in track and field”.
Not just swimming 50m but eventually a variety of sports. Money talks.
The Australian swimming community and the antidoping authorities are going into meltdown…

Kinda share their sentiment to be honest. Not going to spend any more time on this…
AFAI can tell, he has taken 0.2s off the record while doped and using an illegal suit… not that impressive, IMO
.02 of a second.
I mean, we know PED’s work, don’t think we need to showcase that. That said, I would probably watch the shit out of that.
Just here to watch Peter Thiel lose some of his 0+1 money lol Las Vegas seems the right place for this stoked up steroid show.
Brett Hawke is a PoS, that hothead had to be restrained at Indy last summer during OTs.
None of this matters, it’s all a circus, and anyone remotely connected should just get a lifetime ban, not that any of them would care, but out of principle.
Well . . .
If no world records are broken what does that tell us ?
What we, unfortunately, already know.
Lance can explain it better.
But on the other side of the argument do you not have any wonder about the caliber of athletes performing in that case? I could dope to the gills but that doesn’t mean I’d suddenly become a pro level athlete. Same thing here if a B-level pro has a PED cocktail 4 times a day that doesn’t necessarily mean they are all of a sudden going to beat Tadej Pogacar in the tour.
So while there is merit in looking at it from your viewpoint, I think we would have to see if any top level pros from any sport make a switch over to truly compare
Perhaps that a clown on PEDs is not a swimmer.
Andrii Govorov Joins Magnussen, Gkolomeev In Enhanced Games Participation
Current 50 LCM FLY record holder, former Olympic/WC medalists. And Gkolomeev dipped under the 50m LCM FR WR on PEDs and wearing a super-suit this past week.
These guys are training with Brett Hawke, who although is a massive a-h-, is well versed in the sprint revolution.
I think the whole thing is nuts and but very interesting. . Everyone knows that any “records” are not legit and that it is just a freak show so I don’t know why so many people are getting all bent out of shape about it. They are just doping to the gills like so many Gym Bro’s have been for decades only these guys are doing it “legally” and under doctors supervision.
It isn’t like they are going to suddenly take Olympic spots away from legit athletes or be treated seriously by any sports federation. I suspect where a lot of animosity comes from is knowing these doped up “cheaters” will more than likely earn a hell of a lot more money than the legit athletes grinding it out for pittance at their local pools.
They are lab-rats in a bizarre experiment and I for one find the whole thing both confronting and fascinating. The world just gets weirder all the time.
Some US swimmers are coached by Hawke. I’d disassociate immediately if i were so fortunate to be at that level.
I find it harmless on a moral level.
But, unfortunately, it ain’t so harmless on a physiological level. Not at this event necessarily, but in the race to be faster, stronger, etc. at any cost, athletes will seriously harm themselves or die, or both. And l can’t celebrate that. Nor is it fun to watch.
A lot like the concussion and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) epidemic in American football. Athletes paying such a deadly price for my entertainment? No thanks.
it seems the aussie got the bulking muscle routine but the bulgarian did not? something is off here. Also, this timing was done by the E+ people… not an independant party. So these results can be doctored. We have this problem on the internet with fit-fluencers, using fake plates for lifts, starting clocks late, etc.
I suffer from chronic post-concussion syndrome after a couple too many head injuries and know all too well how it can affect everyday life. Plenty of ex-footballers here in Oz are suffering in retirement after “successful” careers on the field and thankfully sports administrators across all sports are moving towards working towards meaningful solutions.
Go watch a season of the reality show “The Ultimate Fighter” to see what athletes will do to themselves for sports entertainment. One too many head knocks all around in that house for sure.
