50 meter pools in San Diego

Hi all,
I’m new to the forum, so I don’t know if this has been brought up before.

I’m looking for a 50 meter pool in San Diego that is open to the public, via membership or a daily fee, etc.

I don’t have an answer for you. But, I’d like to find one myself. I’ve been swimming at the boys and girls club in solana beach. But a 50 would rock.

Yeah, I know what ya mean. I train at Wavehouse in Mission Beach and a couple of the 24 Hour Fitness’. I’m doing Ironman Arizona in April and I need some more options for my swim training…Thanks.

Poway community pool is 50m. When I last lived there (3 years ago) it was set up long course on Tues-Thur from 11-1 or something like that. La Jolla is also 50m but is generally set up for long course only during summer and winter breaks. There is also UCSD and the JCC. UCSD’s long course pattern generally follows the school vacation cycle also. Don’t know about the JCC long course schedule.

There is a public pool in Coronado that is insane. Best I’ve ever been in. Love when I have to travel to SD…make a bee line there every time. Plus, it’s an awesome place to run as well.

The JCC is closed right now for renovation; due to open by January.

La Jolla High School doesn’t have long course at all this winter that I’m aware.

Here’s a few more sort of in the area…

-SDSU has a brand spanking new one I’ve yet to check out

-National City has one that has recently been renovated

-Loma Verde in Chula Vista

MCAS Miramar has a 50m pool. I think Camp Pendleton has one also.

Just bumping this old thread as I will be in San Diego area for work. Anyone know if the 50m pool at Coronado is open for lane swims? Looks like it set up every second day for 50 LCM?

I arrive in San Diego evening of 25 Jan and have 26 Jan doing nothing other than training!!! Was hoping to do a 2 hrs swim at the Coronado pool if not too crowded on Sundays…but glad to run too

not exactly in San Diego proper but the William Wagner pool in Oceanside is set up long course on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6am to 1pm.

sign up for tritonman. its that weekend. las palmas national city is my choice. outdoor heated

Thanks Mike, I think my schedule on Tuesday is somewhat packed to make it up to Oceanside (staying in Mission Bay area for a tech event) and flying back on Thursday. My only option is an Oceanside detour on Sunday 26 Jan
