5 second poll - tri sunglasses

What is your favorite? Pro and cons also.

I just broke mine over the weekend and need a new pair. I was previously using a Nike pair made for running, and have used many other brands before. I have always had a problem with them fogging up (and not just when I stop

Not really a fan of Oakley, but do not know why?

1 second answer: Oakley.

Here’s why:

http://www.bikesportmichigan.com/reviews/oakley.shtml

Oakley Racing Jackets- for triathlons/tt’s with my aero helmet.

Oakley Pro M-frame- Training, with my rroad helmet.

Smith Folsom- running/chilling, with whatever.

Used to have Nike Tarj’s, very nice, they lasted a long time, but they eventually broke.

Adidas “The Shield” - super lightweight, no frame, good optics, good looks.

Oakley Zero. Perfect fit and very light, frameless lenses. Look of a pornstar.

I have a pair of Rudy Project Graal Fyol. Essentially Graal for smaller faces. Three lenses, hard case and baggie. Best glasses I have ever had, great for run, bike and look good enough to wear when not training/racing.

I’ve only used Performance, randoms, and Rudy, so I’ll easily say Rudy. Great customer service and quality product.

Rudy
.

Nike has some nice sport frames, very light and easy to swap the lenses.

Simon Chow???

Wow. That was quick. I should have figured that you reviewed the matter. Thanks.

So, Racing Jacket or Half Jacket? Primary need is ventilation because of fogging, second it looks, third is the ability to change lens.

Rudy

only glasses that can stay on my smaller framed face. Never fall off when I bend forward, and have even stayed on during falls. Fog up only when I am wrapped up.

Have 4 different models. Couldn’t tell you the name. One pair my sister has, the other 3 float around in my car and bags. The cycle pair has no ridge on the bottom so perfect for seeing behind me. The other 2 one is silver, one is team issued. I am HARD on my belongings that I use and these babies have stood the test of time.

LOVE the clear lenses for night riding. I forget they are there…zero headaches.

(full disclosure–they ‘sponsor’ me, and I completely forgot to get my new pair for the season–of course I only went with them after I had bought 3 other pairs.)

Zeal Optics Jetstream - similar to the shield but with interchangeable lenses.

Rudy Project Kerosene. Came with a hard case, which is nice when transporting them in a transition bag or backpack. They have a little antifog feature that actually works (you can pop the lens partially out of the frame for more airflow, I was skeptical, but it works (but you have to be moving)). They have stood me well for 3 years now. Interchangable lenses.

Dollar Store Faux-kleys. I get them by the handful.

If they break or I lose them, no biggie.

Cycling - Rydon’s… great periphial vision. Excellent coverage

Overcast - Rydon’s with yellow lenses

Triathlon’s - Ekynox SX’s … Great wrap-around (perfect for running and cycling).

Both models have an adjustable nose piece and fit many faces, very, very, well… It’s all about the superb fit with Rudy and the tendancy to forget that you’re wearing them.

Used to have Oakley’s… Really didn’t like the nose piece on them.

Oakley M Frames
.

ADIDAS SHIELD, EVILEYE FOR CYCLING

i used to use rudy freons, but the rubber nose clip things always ended up falling off.

shields are the best.

Oakley Pro M Frames w/ Hybrid S lenses

I Just love em to death.

Rudy Project Ekynox SX, at the moment. I like the fact that the Rudy’s have adjustable nose pieces. Most standard off the shelf glasses don’t sit on my nose, very well so this is a big thing that I look for when I buy glasses.
