So, Ye Shiwen’s last 50m is faster than Ryan Lochte’s last 50m? And her last 100m (freestyle) is milliseconds slower than Lochte’s (again, with the last 50m faster than Lochte)… lots of controversy around, but since they’re all tested to the hilt (aren’t they?), WOW, right?

I saw this live yesterday. She went by Elizabeth Beisel like she was standing still. It was uh, impressive. I’m not gonna jump on the Chinese women swimmers are doping (again) train because Lochte was absolutely cooked the last 50M of his swim. He crushed it for 350 meters and was just outta gas the last 50 free. You could see it.
Anyhow, the women’s world record is a 52. She swam a 58-59, so not that outrageous.
