3T Accelero Pro 40 wheels?

Has anybody used them? http://www.county-cycles.com/triathlon/3t-accelero-pro-40-aero-wheelset/852/

I might be able to gets set for ~$400. Right now I have two wheel sets: Some Shimanos R500 (same weight as the accelero pro but 24mm instead of 37mm) and some Reynolds Strikes (1732 g). Hum, I might just have answered my question, seems like unless I want faster (aero) training wheels, there’s no real need to get those (and I don’t mind using the Reynolds for training and fun either, I just need to steal them off the tri bike each time and swap brake pads). I am interested in first hands experiences though.

No first hand experience, but if you decide to pass on these, let me know where I could buy them from. My wife’s TT bike could use a reasonably priced training / racing wheelset.

Anyone use these, yet? How are they?

I am wondering the same thing, saw the email from Nashbar that they are only $440 on sale right now…it seems like they would make a decent, albeit heavyish, set of wheels for the road bike.

my philosophy on these things is always go DEEP or go CHEAP.

However, those are cheap, and a tiny bit deep.

So yeah that would be a fun training wheel, or expendable crit wheel.

The Zipp 101 is not deep and has impressive aero numbers.

The Zipp 101 is not deep and has impressive aero numbers.

that is true. but it is also not cheap.

So, this does not invalidate my “go deep, or go cheap” philosophy. Because a 404 or 808 are even faster =)

The 101 is cool though due to stealth factor.

I was hoping they’d be stealth aero, like the 101s.

Between wanting an inexpensive PM (which you guys thoroughly dashed…DRAT!) and a firecrest front for racing, and some 101s…

I am bumping this thread to see if any member has experience with these wheels.

Cheers.

Sorry Im not adding any experience to the conversation, but it looks like these are on a decent discount at excel sports :

.

I almost bought a set. 3T makes great stuff.
But damn they are heavy.
