Anybody here done a 3d bike fit? Just wondering if it’s worth the money over the standard 2D version. What can get gained from a 3D that you can’t get from a 2D? Is it just all gimmic?
Specialized used to have two types of fitting they promoted with the BG Fit, the 2D and 3D. The former would take into account the X and Y planes and the latter would be X, Y, and Z. They have since moved away from that and say a fit is a fit. There is really no way you can preform a proper fit without taking into account the Z plane. A lot of shops were charging for a 2D, but really doing a 3D so it just made sense to nix the 2D.
