3/140/30

There are a coupla 3k swim/140k bike/30k run triathlon’s in my neck of the woods.

How have any of you that have done this distance approached (trained/raced) this distance?

By this I mean:
With solid Olympic distance training one assumes to be able to compete well at a half ironman (This is where I’m at. I train for and can race an oly in 2:20. I’ve never done a half but for now will assume my level of fitness will allow me to race a half).

But I assume (multiple multiple factors included/excluded) that Olympic distance training won’t/may-not allow me to be competitive at an Ironman.

The first of the 3/140/30 races is 7 weeks from now.
