2XU Sizing

For those who have worn 2XU stuff, how does their sizing seem to run? I’ve always felt that Pearl Izumi had more of an “American fit” sort of a little broader fit within each size, whereas Sugoi and some other companies have a more “European fit” or tend to be a little bit slimmer.

I am almost 6’1", have about a 31" waist, but very thing legs. So I am at the upper end of a size small in terms of my waist and I am sure the thickness of my legs would be fine in the small, but I am just worried about being too tall for them.

The medium waist range is 32-34" so while they might be better in length I am worried about them being too big in the waist and butt (unless they have a slimmer fit like Sugoi).

Thanks in advance for any help.

I take it you’re not asking about their wetsuit sizing. I tried on a full setup of racing gear to get for
this summers racing and the sizes varied a bit but not much. I’m 5’11
165lb and for the one piece racing getup I fit a medium. I could have
gone with a small but the medium fit a bit better. Tightness can be
annoying when the sun is blazing down on you. For the training shirts
a small fit best.

Yeah, clothing sizing. I am about 6’ and 155 or so and mostly looking at their tri shorts. You said you could have gone with a small, was it riding up in your crotch? It sounds like in terms of weight I could definitely go with a small, just wondering if they would be too short.

What training shirts are you talking about fitting better in a small? Their loose running stuff or tri jerseys?

Both of their wetsuits and clothing line is a real athletic fit and not boxy as other brands. I am 5 9, 155lbs 32 waist and wear their runing gear, tri gear and wetsuit all in medium. great quality and great fit!

I’m 5’10" 173 and I wear medium top and bottom.

The small didn’t feel too tight when trying it on but it could have in a TT position and the medium felt just right. Tight fitting so it’s not going to catch the water but not so tight that it could be annoying. If you’re just going with the tights and not the 1 piece I’d probably go with the small though. For the shirts I was talking about the loose fitting training stuff.

I’m 6’2", 170 (race weight), 31 inch waist and I wear a Medium in the long distance tri short. It has quite a bit of elasticity, so, I doubt it will hang on you anywhere. No possible way a small would fit me in the inseam. I think you could get away with it from a waistband standpoint, but, if you are 6’1" I do not think it would be long enough for you.

Ok, cool. That answers my question. I was just worried that they might hang. But at over 6’ tall I was worried that small would be too short.

If they have some elasticity and a slim fit like another poster said, I think the mediums will be fine.

I may order one of there loose fitting running tops as well and am deciding between a small and a medium as well. I have somewhat broad shoulders and chest, but am only about 155 pounds so they medium may flap around a bit so I may go with the small if it wouldn’t be too short.

Thanks for your help.

anyone know how the technical tee’s fit? run small?

Are you talking about this shirt?

One of the posters above said he was 5’11" and 165 and the small fit well. I am about 6’ 155 and am wondering what size to get. I am sure the medium would fit in terms of length, but I am worried about it being too baggy. I don’t want a skin tight fit, but I like my running shirts to not be flapping around when I am running.

I am leaning towards the small but hoping it won’t be too short or too tight.

I’m 6’1" and 150; I find the medium stuff fits better for me.

FWIW it’s worth I’m 5 ft 9 1/2 inches, 143 lbs, ideal triathlete build and wear:

size XS Elite E:0 (07) wetsuit
size S “Endurance” tri suit
size XS “Comp” (07) tri shorts
size S compression top
.

Hi Mad Jee,

I am running into the same situation that you had with the tri short. can you tell me which one did you end up purchasing between the M and S shorts? and how happy were you with the fitting?

thanks
