26inch carbon wheels

Hey just curious, do you all think these wheels would fit a youth 26inch road bike?

I’m somehow doubting that FF and Corima made wheels this small, but I could be totally wrong.

They look like 650C wheels to me.

Was this ever a thing for adults ? I can’t see those brands spending time and effort making these for 10 year olds. My son saw them and is salivating.

Have you ever heard of a bike company called Quintana Roo?

so 650c wheels (26 inch) were actually quite common on tri bikes, up until maybe 20 years ago. all the big wheelbuilders made 650 race wheels. some companies still use them on extra small frames. they can have their advantages, but sometimes finding spare tires/tubes can be difficult.

Corima absolutely did, and might still offer them for handbikes or racing chairs. Not sure about FF.

Amazing. And would these fit an Argon 650 YOUTH road bike? Overkill I know but for USD 200 it could be an interesting way to learn about tubular wheels and give some motivation to my son.

Does that Argon bike use 650C wheels?

Just looked up the spec’s. The Argon 18 650 has 27.5inch wheels. Very confusing as i thought 650 meant 26inch.

We still have a full line of 650c.

650C = 26" = 571mm
650B = 27.5" = 584mm

I would always refer to the metrical measure to avoid confusion

Ok this is amazing, i think i finally got it now.

650C = 26" = 571mm
These wheels were used for adult triathlon bikes way back when small wheels were a trend (and it looks like some still use them).

650B = 27.5" = 584mm
These are used mostly for smaller size youth road bikes, and this is the size of my son’s bike wheels (Argon 18 Zenon).

I’m going to assume 650c wheels will NOT fit on a bike made for 650B wheels.

they will fit, but possibly you’ll have to replace the brake calipers, with the long reach type:
