My wife and I have been die-hard 24 fans since day one, and thus were suitably excited for last night’s episode. Unfortunately, as much as the storyline this year was more plausible than in year’s past (although ‘plausible’ it was still a good distance from being ‘realistic’) I thought the finale was a little weak.
Trying not to give anything away for those that haven’t seen it - but, what did you think? a good way to wrap up the show? Will you see the movie? does the movie pick up where the show leaves off? Could Chloe really do what she did?
Was not “24 worthy.” There was no “oh shit” moment, IMO (well, perhaps the final actions of Charles Logan). I (think I) would have preferred that Jack carry out his full plan. I dunno, I was left a bit disappointed.
I watched all of 24. I liked it in season 1 but after that, it was just something to watch when nothing better was on. I watched the finale and it wasn’t very good–about par for the series. I’ll watch any movies but I wouldn’t pay money to do so.
The whole sense of morality that suddenly came up when he had the Russian President in the cross-hairs was a little much.
Yes. I thought Jack should have shot him. WTH! This is THE guy who put in place a plan to nuke Manhattan. Of course that was not an act of war, but shooting him would have been? Especially when he has tape of him admitting the whole thing?
Why didn’t Taylor give Jack a pardon? After all what crimes does he need to answer for? Everybody he killed either was or worked for the guys who wanted to nuke the US. (OK, maybe chopping up the sniper was over the line. Maybe.)
He didn’t mean to chop up the sniper…how else would he have gotten the SIM card? Sit around and wait
Which gets me thinking…(1) why did the reporter just go into the next room…so she could hear everything that was going on? And, (2) what happened to Jack’s friend who helped him out? I was fully expecting him to be the one to save Jack at the very end.
**He didn’t mean to chop up the sniper…how else would he have gotten the SIM card? Sit around and wait **
Exactly my point! Who would convict him for that?
what happened to Jack’s friend who helped him out? I was fully expecting him to be the one to save Jack at the very end.
As soon as he helped him, Cole cut him loose as promised. I expect him (Michael Madsen - Great in Kill Bill) to feature in the movie as he is a bankable supporting star (assuming he stays out of jail).
Personally, I didn’t hate the ending. Some really corny moments, but plenty of real drama.
Is kieffer sutherland both a feminist and a muslim lover?(pink font). At one point, the leader of the free world is a woman, then the president of Islamistan (dalia) is a woman, and then Chloe is the head of CTU. Lots of women in positions of power. At the shows resolution, both the US and Russia prove to be lying, despicable characters, while the muslim country is the only one who displays honor.
