23 vs 25 mm on Zipp Super-9 and 808FC?

I just got myself a 2014 P5-6 and that came with 808FC wheels in it.
Now I just got lucky and bought a brand new Zipp Super 9 Clincher Disc for it

I’m debating on what width tires to put onto them now, as the Continental Grand Prix TT is available in 23 and 25 mm.
I would think, with the latest info the 25 would be the best choice but reading a review on this website I’ve seen that Zipp provided a 23mm Tangente tire with it. ACcording to that review it was the way the outer edge of the rim was designed to have a more natural flow from rim to tire.

So all in all; what width would you mount - and why?

(I have one set of 23 GP TT’s in my spare box, but I’d happily switch to 25’s if thats what everyone’s suggesting here  )

Run the 23c. Rim should be 105% the width if the tire (per Zipp/Josh @ Silca research)

Read his blog on the Silca site. Very interesting tire information. There’s a lot going on there.

Good info that, I’ll be sticking my GP TT’s in 23 mm on since the brake track width is 24.73 on the 808’s (thus within 105% range) , and order a 25 mm for the Super-9 as the rim is 26.46 there and thus also syating within the 105% rule there

Thanks!

FWIW Zipp has specific aerodynamic tire width recommendations on it’s website for the firecest shape. I believe it’a 23mm front / 25mm rear.

fast on a mostly smooth road, 23 SS front/ back. If you are worried about the rear on a rougher road 23 SS front/ 24 Force rear

Might want some 2014 P5-6 folks to chime in since the fork/frame can also be a determining factor on tire width choice; not just the rim.

This is what I use on the same wheelset, super9 and 808. I -think- Rappstar uses the same?
And, GP4000IIS’s w/latex tubes for me.
