2024 NFL Divisional Round

Congratulations to @zed707 with a perfect score of 13, well done sir.

@scorpio516 continues to make things difficult for the chase group, though @Helltrack did himself no favors making a last minute change to the Chargers. Half the time you’re 90% likely to regret it. It’s science.

There’s playing to win, and playing to not lose, and then there’s whatever the hell @gofigure is up to. Yikes. Regarding your avatar confusion: your avatar is the symbol you’ve chosen to appear next to your name on the forum (yours is currently a purple circle with a white G; mine is a disapproving vulture). The deal, is the overall pool winner gets to choose the avatar that the last place finisher will wear until the start of the 2025 contest. The winner will post the photo that you will save and upload as your avatar. He also has the power to pardon you and not impose the penalty.

Windy I may still be coming for you. If I feel like it.

Two games opened with over a touchdown line, the Rams-Eagles opened at just under 2 FGs. And the blue-purple game is less than a safety.

I charge all of you to keep up the in-game commentary. We’re headed to Estes Park this weekend so I’ll miss the early games for sure and likely the first halves of the late games.

Damn, I am not confident in any of these picks.

Would love to see a Texans upset. Mahomes hasn’t played since Christmas day, but I expect that Andy Reid will be ready.

Give me the Texans–Commies— Rams— Ravens.

Looking forward to winning an avatar.

Just looked, only surprise to me is the 5.5 pt spread in the Rams Eagles game. Would have thought it would be around 2.5 to 3.5.

If you are told there will be 1 upset in the Saturday games who would you pick, the potatoes or the Dry well? I think the Rookie doesn’t stand a chance so, I would go with the Texans and CJ, Patrick could still be bothered by that ankle…

Mahomes ankle should be fine with 3 weeks rest. I’d be more worried about Chris Jones’ calf as those tend to linger longer. It will be interesting to see how much rust the Chiefs have to knock off.

I was looking at the games earlier and asked which one would most likely end with an upset. I couldn’t come up with a prediction, but I expect that there will be one.

I wish I was in on the pts game, but alas… maybe next season.

Chiefs are gonna Chief, if they protect the ball they should win. The stripes will make sure they stay in position to.

Lions are real good, playing a rookie QB, I think they’ll be too much.

The Rams had a nice 2nd half and look good, I think they upset Philly.

The Bills have never had an answer for Derrick Henry, and on a juggernaut team they definitely can’t handle him. He or Lamar (or both) wind up having a field day and run away with it.

Interesting that Baltimore is favored in Buffalo.

I think LA and Buffalo are the likely upset picks. But I’m holding fast on my Commies.

Hope you do. The more, the merrier.

It’s curious to me why so many football fans here follow these threads and contribute regularly, some voting in the GOTW poll, but don’t join the game. What’s up with that?

And yes, the more the merrier. All are welcome and feedback on how to improve the game is always appreciated.

Guilty. When the NFL season started I guess I wasn’t really paying attention. I’ll be in next year if the LR is still around.

Me too, actually. This is the first year I’ve played for points, but I’d join in on the conversation in previous years. .

See you all next year on week 1!
