2020 Cube C68 Aerium disc

It was only a matter of time after the disc tt bike Wanty have been using: https://www.instagram.com/p/B1IlCaeCdsT/?igshid=1n1pz1ufb302b

If I’d replace my speed concept any time soon, it would be with this bike
.

I think you got the link wrong. You posted a link to Joe Skipper’s Twitter (his stats from a 12hr TT on 298W NP making him National 12hr TT-champ!!!)

Thanks for pointing that out, my bad haha. It should be the correct link (to Andi Boecherer’s Instagram) right now.

It’s up on Cube webpage as well, although the page is running really slowly ATM

No matter what they say, it looks like a “tricked-down” Aerium SLT with discs. My eyeball wind tunnel doesn’t understand the seatstay approach, but, ignoring that, another disc TT bike joins the crowd (and probably will be notably cheaper than all the others out there).

For bars, it specs Profile Design hardware, just as the Aerium SLT.

It is a UCI-Legal Aerium SLT.
That’s why they had to remove the closed up area in the bottom of the main triangle. As for the seat stays… Is there a UCI-restriction on how low they can be? Otherwise I don’t understand that move either.

I’m glad the rim-brake/low-seatstay version is sticking around. It looks so fast and damn sexy in that config. No info on their website about the updated hydration mentioned by Aerogeeks, though. Even the closeups and animation are of the old model, while the teaser shot shows a new design.

I agree, the rim brake version looks a lot sexier due to the lower seat stays and the closed center section of the frame

To me, the hydration looks the same in all the shots, including the teaser.

I wonder, though, where do they still source the stock of Maguras to put on Aerium SLT frames

Eye that is the tt aerium, not the triathlon aerium
I have cube data that is 8.9w slower the TT disc than the aerium no disc
Atach data

i love mi aerium slt  jejej

Unless I’m reading that wrong, it seems you interpreted the data incorrectly. They’re showing the TT Disc version is 8.8 watts faster than whatever that bike at the top is. To be fair, if they actually tested the bikes pictured that data is completely meaningless due to a million other changes on the bikes.

Read the comment on the triathlon version above the image;)

Looks like a Canyon.

Yeah I read it but there is obviously no specific data. So the full triathlon version is the fastest (x amount faster than TT disc) and then the rest of them. I suspect we know the same thing but maybe some of the understanding is lost in translation.

Anyway I like it better with black stickers :frowning: a month ago I bought mine but with white stickers :frowning:
Is very fast , very compact bike , my previous bike was a trinity

The shape is about the same but new shots shows the PD magnetic straw holder like on the Aeria Ultimate bottle, unlike the clip Cube had before. The holder is also further back. The aerogeeks article says hydration went from 650 mL to 750 mL, and Facebook comments on Cube’s posts bring up the reworked hydration system.

I was hoping for mechanical brakes for this year.

It’s the Cube Aerium C62 SLT. So the old C68 was 4.4w faster than the C62, and the new C68 is another 8.8w faster. I’d also like to know how much faster the rim brake version is with the low seat stays, fewer spokes, and only brake pads in the wind instead of rotors, calipers, and the short external cable running to disc calipers.
