I’m getting older, I’m not the young buck I used to be (just kidding - I’m 35).
I’m 6’ and I’m on a medium speed concept. Right now I have the low-far stem with the 45mm mono-spacer along with the 5mm pad wing spacer.
It seems like the “low is fast” mentality has died and I’ve noticed some riders bringing their bars up a bit (albeit more narrow). Because I’m thinking it would be a bit more comfortable (and maybe a bit faster?), I’m debating taking the front end up a little bit. Problem is: I want to try it out before I commit to installing the mid-far stem (which requires re-running the brakes).
I think that’s the “correct” move, but I’m hesitant to commit and then realize I was better off lower.
Anyone have any other ideas? Doubling up on the wing spacer? Putting spacers somewhere else?
Of course, I could always run the mid-far stem and then switch to a very low mono spacer (which will put my pads in likely the same position). Thoughts? Suggestions? Who cares?
