2014 Cervelo P2 105 vs 2014 BMC Timemachine TM02 105

3 weeks away from making my first TT bike purchase. I’ve narrowed down to either the P2 or the TM02. Assuming both bikes fit me, which would be the wiser purchase? No, I can’t try them out or get fitted first as my LBS does not carry the brands. I have to travel to another shop (By plane. I live in the caribbean) to be fitted and make the purchase all in one day. They’ve both received fairly great reviews, they’re both future proofed, I am leaning towards the P2 because Cervelo carries lifetime warranty. The type of courses I’ll be taking on with the bike are mostly flat to rolling hills. The P2 is for $2500 and the BMC is for $2250. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

The P2 is probably the faster bike by maybe a hair or a fraction of a second. But everybody has one. The BMC is more unique, at least here in 'Merica. I’d buy the one which looks the best, which is almost certainly not the blue and white P2.

Would you realistically/economically be able to take advantage of the lifetime warranty if you live so far from a dealer
.

Thanks. Lol @ "Merica.

Yes. The Bahamas is very close to Florida (dealers). There are other Cervelo riders here who’ve taken advantage of it.

I would look at how the rear brake and the rear drop outs on the TM02 work before purchase.
