I’ve searched and cannot find a clear parts list to upgrade my 2014 7.5 speed concept from mechanical 11 speed ultegra to 11 speed di2 ultegra. Any help would be much appreciated.
First of all here’s the Shimano parts list. It’S in German but the Shimano parts numbers are the same everywhere. Then if you’re asking for the Trek parts: My Di2 equipped SC 9.9 came with the plugs/cable stops for machanical shifting, soo. If not, ask “Carl” in the SC 2014 thread. He’ll know what to order.
Internal battery
Internal battery charger
Carbon seatpost
Carbon seatpost battery mount
Internal junction
5 port junction
Wires x4 (size dependent)
Front derailleur
Rear derailleur
TT shifters
Brake lever shifters (if you want them)
Rear derailleur cable grommet
.
There’s a couple of different ways to do this. This is how I wired mine:
No matter how you do it you’ll need:
FD-6870
RD-6870
SM-JC41
I’m only using bar ends so I’m using the SM-EW90B which is a three-port junction box.
I’m using the SWR671 shifters which are the bar ends where one side controls the FD and the other controls the RD
I’m using the external battery but there’s an internal battery you can use on your 7.5 seat post.
You’ll need the appropriate length cables. Just measure your frame and, if in doubt, increase it by 25-50%. Plenty of room in the frame for the slack.
Art’s Cyclery has a nice Ui2 groupkit builder:

So, where are you putting your battery?

I drilled the bontrager water bottle cage and my battery is mounted on the back of that. I’m going to keep it there for now but have another idea for the near future.
What’s the approximate price for this upgrade? I’ve been considering it myself.
Here’s a soup to nuts build, provided you already have tools and what not. This is everything you should need.
***Edit - I didn’t include a chain or crank since I was already on Ultegra 6800 ***
Back when I priced it from Art’s Cyclery -
Shimano Ultegra Di2 6870 Rear Derailleur 259.99
Shimano Ultegra Di2 6770 Front Derailleur 269.99
Shimano BTR2 Di2 Internal Battery E-tube 159.99
Shimano R671 Di2 TT Shifters 229.99
Shimano Ultegra Di2 | 6871 11-Speed TT Brake/Shift Lever - $175
Shimano EW90 External 5-Port Junction Box 139.99
Shimano Di2 SM-JC41 Internal Junction Box 29.99
Shimano BCR2 Di2 Internal Battery Charger 99.99
Shimano SD50 Di2 E-tube Wire Black 950mm 1 x 24.99
Shimano SD50 Di2 E-tube Wire Black 300mm 3 x 24.99
Total - $1464.89
You forgot the internal battery mount bracket and carbon seatpost if you plan to do internal battery.
Good point, I didn’t use them. My Scott Plasma isn’t Di2 ready so I wrapped the battery in closed cell foam and jammed in the frame below my seat post. Has never moved since.
Do you happen to know the part number for the internal battery mount?
Thanks

Just take the part number to yor lbs and they can get it for you.
