2013 Cervelo P2 (Ultegra) or 2014 Cervelo P2

I am going to buy one of these guys tomorrow. I was fit and they both work. The 2013 P2 is Ultegra and $2400 and the 2014 P2 is standard and $2800. Price doesn’t really matter to me but thought I would say what they were anyways.

Should I automatically go with the new version of the P2?

I do all distances and will be doing my first Ironman this year.

If both fit go with the later bike
#1 already set up for future di2 ect…
#2 105 - ultegra you can’t tell the performance diff with those shifters
#3 you get all of the aero advancements over the legacy P2

Was looking at them both today and will either go new P2 or P3 when I leap next year
Currently on a very sweet Slice…

.

Sorry…
#4 will fit all the latest wide wheel sets that are coming out.

I vote for the NP2
.

Np2.

Now I am at another bike shop trying out at the BMC TM02! Going to test the new Cervelo P2 shortly. Thanks for your advice this far!

The new P2 is faster than both of the other bikes.

Oh my gosh, the new Cervelo P2 was sooooo smooth. Much better ride than the BMC for me. I put a deposit on it and am picking it up on Monday

Good call. I have the New P3. Much better bikes than the old style.

What kind of price?

I got it for either $2700 or $2800. Can’t recall. Whatever it was, it was $100 off original price. Not a whole lot, but it’s brand new and only came out recently, so I was fine with it. My bike shop gave me a free fitting to go with it and free care (and adjustments) for a year. I get fit on Monday

Loving my NP2, 200 miles in 3 weeks now if I could just get the saddle sorted perfect!

Might be coming from a low base point having not ridden a tt bike previously but find if so much more comfortable on the bars for extended periods than clip ons and so much faster!
