2010 Trek Madone 6 Series - DuoTrap Sensor

Trek has released their new 2010 Trek Madone 6 Series (www.trekbikes.com), which I must say looks cleaner and better than the previous series.

They are also introducing a DuoTrap Sensor which, “Integrate a computer sensor into the frame that measures speed, distance, and cadence, and works with all the major players who use ANT+ wireless technology: Bontrager, Garmin, PowerTap, Cateye, SRM…you get the idea.”

So, why have we not seen anything like this for the triathlon market? Seems to me that this would be a perfect fit for the techno, geeky tri market.

Also, based upon what some of the other guys are turning out it looks like 2010 and 2011 will turn out some really advanced concepts as R&D continues to push the envelope.
