Cervelo’s site is advertising the following line up of bikes for the 2009 Tour de France: S3, R3SL and P4.
So, does this mean that we will finally see the Test Team racing on the P4’s and not P3’s? Will this finally be the big debut…coming out party that everyone has been waiting for regarding the P4?

I was on a group ride here in Philly yesterday in the pouring rain and we passed a guy hiding under a bridge with a tricked out P4 (808/Disc). It looked great but I felt bad for the bike…whose engine is obviously a pu**y. It rained for about 3hrs, I wonder how long he sat under the bridge.

Actually, I was at the Lake to Lake Tri in Loveland yessirday, and a P4 showed up with 1080s. They guy stopped during his bike split, right in front of the finish line, and ran to the port-o-john. Way to ride the fastest bike in the race… 
I think the takeaway from this thread is that most of us can go down to our LBS and pick up a P4 whereas I have a better chance of riding Megan Fox than I do the High Road “GiantScott” or the SaxoBand “Specialized.” The P4 is already out so you better get the party started.
As for our guy hiding out of the rain under a bridge down by the river, the P4 is a high performance speed machine, not a cashmere sweater. It can be ridden hard and put away wet. The roadies gave me shit for that one. Friggin roadies, so insecure ;^)

thats probably what id say if i was that guy lol. so true, ive seen guys out on their p3c race wheels, discs, and aero helmets. its funny to laugh. then they try so hard to pass you when youre obviously chilling.

He was probably waiting for his mistress to pick him up in the BMW he bought her as hush money so the mistress wouldn’t tell the wife!
Plus he probably bought that bike just for the Philly Tri… with the race wheels, that’s why he was riding around town like that… after Philly Tri that bike will sit in the basement until the near end of June next year for that 1-pre race ride.
I saw a few P4’s in T-area for the D.C. race this morning… so sleek and sexy.
His race wheels are probably the Zed Tech so he really was on his training wheels. I’m just busting his chops because he has a P4 and I’m jealous. Well, that and he was hiding under a bridge in the rain.
