2008 Giro Ionos review

Just one from Competitive Cyclist after being swayed by their marketing to pre-order one in July.

I am ashamed to say that if it was the same colour as my Giro Atmos, I would not be able to tell the difference. One cool thing in the box was the winter insert, though.

On closer inspection it does have more airflow and it seemed to be breezier, but, then again, I had a haricut before trying it out. It is noticably lighter.

Nothing earth-shattering here, folks, and my recommendation is to buy a 2007 Atmos on close-out.

I was thinking the same! I saw it at the shop, may maybe the vents are larger but I didn’t feel the weight in my hand or on my head.
Could be more flow as you mention but didn’t use it yet. So is it the end for Atmos?

Specialized 2D is another story… I think it will be the hit this year if they make pricing a bit compatible.

I think that the Atmos is finished. Never been a fan of the Specialized, but are good value.
