2002 Ironman Canada Finisher Tee?

Longshot here but anyone have a 2002 IM Canada finisher T they could post a picture of? I’m looking at doing one of those blanket quilts with all of my 140.6 tees that have been collecting dust in my closet and this 2002 shirt is the one race T I can’t seem to locate…ugh! Also,I may be interested in purchasing the T if that’s an option for anyone that might have one they’d be willing to let go.
Great memories at this 2002 race - Penticton was such a great course! Thanks all

Hmmm . . . I did that race. I’ll try to take a look and find. I probably haven’t looked at it since the day I got it. If I find it I’ll get back to you.

Thanks David!

That sure brings back memories. I did my first Ironman in Penticton in 2002. It was only my fourth triathlon.

My finisher t-shirt was probably turned into a bike rag many years ago.

I should see if I still have my finishers medal.

What a race that was. I did it first in 2000, never wore the shirt so it’s sitting in my dresser as good as new. I then did it from 2005-2012 every year. Not in 2003 though unfortunately. I wish I could go back and relive all those memories. What a spectacular time, I really miss it.

yeah…I never wore my 140.6 race T’s either but, I don’t know, as i get older the “glory days” sure do come to mind and i’m glad I kept them all to where I can possibly do this blanket quilt. Re: medals, my wife took my 140.6 & boston medals and glued magnets on the back so they’re pretty great Fridge magnets….much better than being stuck in a drawer!

Penticton during its glory days was the best right?! Eye to eye with you…wish i could relive those memories as well! You probably have the same memories of finishing the race and heading to the overnight line to camp out to register for the next year…good times! Between 2001 - 2012, I did Penticton 10x and went sub-11 six times (10:40-10:50’sh) and remember not being particularly happy with my finish times…if only i had the wisdom of hindsight then! :joy: Cautionary tale for you 30-40 AG’ers….stay in the moment and enjoy your race and any finish! :oncoming_fist:
