Iirc his PR being 2:12, had a hip injury from olympic trials. About 5 months 0 running, and recent months at barely 20mpw, got top 10 at CIM. Yes the base was there, impressive of a comback IMHO. Wonder how long can someone continue with numbers like this, as in is a one long base period in life all that is needed?

That if you have a good base, you can return to fitness with out forcing mileage… Which is what I am hoping for myself now as I am having issues .

he did some work on eliptical. he did a half marathon a month before at race pace, some workouts just under, 20 miler at 1minute plus per mile
