**This Saturday Night / Aug. 6, 2005 6:45 pm; ****Tiki Bar Clermont, FLA** ($15 to cover cost of a brew/tip at each Pub; 5 drink coupons) ...or we can just do carry your own cash...what ever more folks want.. Tickets and Maps will be given out at the Tiki starting at 6:15 Saturday. Look for Kevin wearing my South Lake Bikes Pink T-shirt! Two groups: Run Group and optional Run/Walk group...depending on the turn-out. No drop rule in effect. Email or tell your other friends if I left them off this list Run route : Start/finish at Tiki bar... optional drink/beer to start at Tiki.. use 1 ticket 1st stop Grogan porch (obviously no drink ticket needed here..this ones on me!) 2nd stop Pier House..use 1 ticket 3rd stop Rusty Fox..use 1 ticket 4th stop Corner Seafood Tiki Bar or 8th St. Pub...use 1 ticket Final stop:Tiki Bar! ...use 1 ticket Afterwards...hang out so bring a change of shirt/clothes/towel. I wish I could be there!! I myself am pulling a mini-Grogan. I raced on sunday, and I am racing a 1/2IM this week. Tip one for me!! (I don’t really drink anyway, but you know what I mean.)
I’ll be in Clermont this weekend, and since this tiki bar place was one of your recommended eating establishments, there’s a good chance that we may be there re-fueling. I’m not much of a drinker (one drink and I’m goooone), but I’ll definitely come say hello…if I can still walk after riding the hills!
I’m down in soFL (WPB) but find myself up there occasionally. I think you should schedule another PC for Oct 22, the day before a convention I’m attending at Mickey’s House.
Wrong weekend, Kevin, sorry mate. We’ve done a modified version of this - beer at the tiki bar, cocktails on the porch, more beer at restaurant, nightcap at the tiki bar. Then up at 6:o0 the next day to go ride some more, with a stop at the bakery. True athletes, us.
1 drink and i’m literally legally drunk. as far as drinking goes, my endurance sucks, and i don’t care to improve it!! i think with all the workouts you gave me, i’ll be lucky if i can still walk. i will be impaired enough without liquor in my system!! i hear they have good burgers at this tiki bar place, and that is most likely what i will be re-fueling myself with.
i don’t even drink iced tea b/c the caffeine really hits me hard, so no worries!! i’ll stick to water and lemonade…=)
