DarkSpeedWorks would have appreciated consideration.

You know it’s an Ali special when the four pictures are:

  1. Bento doesn’t align with stem
  2. Crumbled box
  3. Tri bike with extensions pointed downward
  4. Flat box mounted on a curved top tube creating a gap

Looks ok for the price, though

It is the first time I see an aero bottle (Elite Crono CX?) mounted behind the saddle. Wouldn’t you rather swap the bottle cage with the one on the down tube?

I just think it looks extra “triathlony” mounted behind the saddle

It doesn’t.

I like your setup! I have Aliexpress bars, bento box, aero bottle, wheels, disc wheel etc. All great quality. Fools pay full price.

Are you the person with the red mtb tri bike? Loved that thing

I would recommend you search classified ads or sales at retail stores. You should be able to find a new or very good condition Xlab, DSW, or Torhans between $15-$25.

How did you attach the holder to the top tube? Just with tape?
Attaching the chrono bottle behind the other bottle can make your bike feel faster
And you might like to turn your seatpost 180 to replicate a frame with TRI geometry
I also have a mtb chain stay slap wrap on my road bike and love it

I’ve used 3m velcro to avoid zip ties on a bike with no top tube bosses. If top tube is round, it might not provide enough contact, but worked great on a flat top tube.

I hope you are referring to this build, one of my favorites, based on a used Schwinn Tourist (Target-level hybrid) purchased off Craigslist for $40:

yeah, I used some sticky gel mounting tab things - they’re crazy strong

And you might like to turn your seatpost 180 to replicate a frame with TRI geometry

this tiny bike didn’t really need it - the seat tube was already steeper than normal at around 76 degrees - but yeah, i’ve definitely done that on other road → tri conversions

lolz - the XTR chainstay protector was just an extra one I had, and the colors went great with the frame, so whatever

That’s the one! Double thumbs up

maybe i’m in the minority, but i guess i feel like top tube boxes should cost about that. i mean, it’s a dead-simple product made from cheap material that serves a really easy function.
