Why can’t we harness this for green power? Too explosive? To unpredictable?
We should be able to power a serious portion of the grid with it.
That’s my positive spin for the day.

The worst 10 years of my life was when my daughter was 13. Man, teenage girls are tough.

How worse is 13 yr old girl drama vs 9 yr old girl drama? Seriously need to prepare myself.
I thought this thread was going to be about Aaron Rodgers.
Teenage girl drama is tough, hope you survive.
I don’t want to scare you or cause more stress but buckle up/. That drama will likely last through high school. That’s how it was with our daughter. She’s 20 now and wise beyond her age thankfully!

Yeah. If we could harness the parental anxiety that would be good too.

Since they know everything, maybe just put them in charge.

Amen. What to eat. How to reduce my carbon footprint. How to be socially correct. The list was long. Now that my daughter is 22 she has chilled out a lot.

To be fair, I had the sweetest little girl until she hit the spring of her 4th grade year, so 9 years old. It seems little girls are very mean to each other and then boys picking on them doesn’t help.

The answer to your question is…Yes.
3 daughters 2yrs apart between first 2 and 3 years between 2nd and 3rd… It was like a decade of drama… there 26,24,21 now… those 10yrs are just a blur now… I guess its kind of like Pregnancy pain, you forget what it really was like. But there occasional PTSD flashbacks…
What are you guys talking about? You sound like a bunch of cry babies.
In all seriousness, this worries me more than anything. Last night my 9 year old HUGE hearted daughter was crying because some older girl said something nasty about her. My daughter has the biggest heart and wants everyone to just get along so whenever something happens that takes a bit of that away from her, it guts me something fierce.
Any advice to keep her positive would be great.

Man, if we could fast forward their brains and have them realize that being different is a bonus and not caring what other people think will really free you, that would be the best gift. A wise man (formerly posted on the other side of the forum) once told me that we can’t make people think or feel any way we want them to and it’s not worth it to even try. Be confident in your own self. Wish I’d learned that much earlier.
I have to disagree. I have two grown daughters and I guess we were very blessed as there was very little drama in our household.
Older daughter knew at about that time she wanted to leave Wichita and go to college in NYC. She did exactly that and since then has bounced between Brooklyn, LA and San Francisco. They will move to Paris in a couple years to keep their daughter out of schools in the US(helps that her husband grew up just outside of Paris).
Younger daughter was always in summer track. She wanted to run track and cross country in college so she drove herself and was rewarded with a full ride scholarship. She is now a nurse and thriving now that we are past the peak of Covid.
But then again, maybe I am immune to drama as I have 5 older sisters and I head up offices that are primarily women.
Good move on your daughter’s part. Teenagers are completely different in France.
