Has anyone had experience with 110% compression/recovery clothing? I saw them at an expo this weekend, but for some reason didn’t take the time to really talk with them. It’s an interesting concept they have, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the money. So if anyone has used their stuff before, I’d love to hear what your thoughts are. In case you’ve never heard of these before, their website is 110playharder.com.
I didn’t see the price, but for me getting some ice on my legs after training is key and many times I just don’t have access to an ice bath to do it right. I am definitely going to look into it.
i agree – you seem like a nice guy so I am going to share one of my top-secret post race tips… I always come to races with a cooler of ice, zip lock bags, horse bandages, and duct tape – my method has the added style benefit which makes a great conversation starter with the ladies… you can thank me later.
Thanks for the tip, but traveling to a race by train limits what one can take. However, now that I have left London behind, for the blue skies of Boulder, I plan to employ your suggested method ASAP.
Dex675, were you at the Endurance Expo in Philly? I was there in the 110% booth and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to email me (peterm@110playharder.com). I can also point you to current athlete’s and coaches who are wearing our gear and let them relate their experiences to you.
Its fantastic compression clothing. I got the calf sleeves when I was battling shin splints. Just slip in a provided ice pack after a run. They allowed me to continue training and to complete my first marathon last month. I have the 110% calf sleeves and the CEP calf sleeves. I run in the CEP’s and use the 110%'s sleeves for after along with an ice pack. They are kind of expensive (70$) but if you need the ice you cant find anything better. You can ice and still walk around and not look like an idiot with bags of ice taped to your legs.
