11 speed chain on 10 speed cassettes question

I have a 10 speed set and chain but now have by bike set up on a 11 speed cassette on my Kickr. I have mis-shifts, but nothing terribly annoying. However I just noticed the wear developing on the chain plates. Thinking about going with an 11 speed chain with a connex quick link. While I’ll still get mis-shifts, thinking wear issues should go away. What are the issues running an 11 speed chain (5.6mm width) on a 10 speed cassette designed for 5.9mm width, when using the bike off the trainer?

I know the easy answer is just to put a 10 speed cassette on the kickr, and this may happen, just curious about other options, thanks.

I like the easy answer.

11 speed chain on 10 speed drivetrain works just fine. Won’t be 100% but I never had big problems when I did it in a pinch.

It is jumping because the 11 speed cassette has different spacing to the 10.
The chain is not an issue, many people run 11 speed chains on 10 speed systems.

And you can probably find a 10 speed cassette for less than an 11 speed chain.

^^^^this.

11spd chains work fine on 10spd systems, they just cost more for no benefit.

As mentioned, a cheap 10spd cassette ($25 on amzn) for the trainer is a good option. They wirk fine, just heavy (non issue indoors).

Ok thanks everyone, the 10 speed cassette it is.

I have this one on my trainer.
