If he can sing Snowbird, Justin says he can still retain his citizenship.

I remember when Peter Reid suddenly became "North American" instead of Canadian in the USA Tri media after his string of Kona wins..Sorry but Lionel isn't American..

Unless they shorten the swim course again, no. Neither will win.
But that's why sports are cool. You never know!

They both have a chance if both Frodo and Lange flat or have cramps, or are injured. Both of these guys have proven that they can have off days, its just that both have not had off days on the same day yet. One of these guys has been on every October from 2015-2019. But one of them is always off or gets a flat/drafting. Kienle beat Frodo in 2014 due to penalty+flat if I recall correctly.

We have had many successful Irish citizens "adopted" by the British in the past so I am very familiar with this issue. :)

I have a green card and no desire to become an American citizen.

For professional triathletes, hope of other athletes who are better getting flats, mechanicals, cramps or having off days at World Championships isn’t really a good strategy for winning a World Championship.

I'd put money on Chelsea Sodaro or Sky Moench being the next American to win Kona ahead of those two. Or maybe Katie Z one day.
