With so many changes to startlists, could someone remind me of the original billings? Was it a Pog vs Remco show down for the Giro and Pog vs Vingegaard show down for TdF?

If so, Pog has a decent chance at the Stephen Roche triple crown.

Pog wasn’t originally going to the tour and changed his mind quite late, might have been after the crash. Tour was supposed to be Jonas vs Remco vs Roglic

Giro was always Pog “vs” Thomas

Vaughters is very good actually. And Kelly is nuts. Hilarious.

Orla had an off fashion day.

They should've led with "How do you say 'Good Morning' in America?" If they did, I missed it

They did. They doubled down on the whole howdy y'all thing. I don't believe I've ever heard anyone say Howdy y'all.
Y'all, sure. Howdy, yes. But never howdy y'all.
Blimey. Strange, innit?

DAYUM! That was exciting. GC bros, sprinters, long range attackers all involved.

Gnar rode one hell of a ride, unfortunately Pog had a quick VO2 max session in today's training plan.

Now *that* was a nail-biter.

Meanwhile in Hungary, DJ Breadsticks pulls off a nice sneaky win. I always sort of forget that he has a helluva kick.

Gnarly. He's got some serious pop. Was looking like Sagan 2015.

Trek has to be bummed. Visma done stoled it.

Orla had a good day.

Do you mean after Venga's crash? This is false. He had announced he was going for the double way earlier than that. I recall we discussed it here, and myself and a few others were critical as we would like to see him racing Venga on fresh legs and not with excuses for another 2nd place.

Great racing today at the Giro, what an attack by Narvaez, unfortunately the finish line came about 30 m too far for him. Hopefully he wins another stage, really like his aggressive style.

Not just him, but - saying this as not an Ineos fanboi - Ineos has beens sending guys at any opportunity. Ganna, Gnar, Arensman, Sheff. Just need to send the Swifties at some point (unless I've missed their exploits).

Was this Pog payback for stage one? I mean without that Pull I dont think Trek catches.

I doubt it. Pog doesn't seem like the type to keep mental Arya Stark lists, particulary for guys not GC threats.

I'd like to think it was just doing a solid for Molano - payback to Molano (I assume) for doing a lot of flat-segment tempo work on non-sprinter stages.

Like the stage 5 break - i thought Jonny Gnar had that. The roads looked unbelievably bumpy and irregular and he seemed to gain a sec or 3 on every tight downhill turn.
I also think Pogi was just trying to get Molano a shot/slingshot. He may be thinking no one should get 2 stage wins before he gets his 4th?
What if Pogi jumped with da Gnar? I think Gnar would have had him outside his comfort zone on those turns.

after the rest day looks like stage 8 kind of who makes the break madness. Ineos should be planning their rest day to prime Sheff tell for the break!

I saw a note saying Stelvio (next Tues or Weds?) prob will not be cleared in time. I'll be curious how they re-route. Livigno has a tunnel into Switz where they could ride through Switz back to bottom of the Stelvio (kind of the reverse of the Dumo dropping the kids off at the pool stage).
very fun racing thus far.

That’d be my guess. Not sure Knarvaez would have made it regardless, looked like he needed 50m less.
