Good omens on prime?

Anyone watch good omens?

Having surgery and will be couch ridden for a few days.

Loved the book and wondering if the show matches the book.

I didn't read the books, so coming into it cold, I thought it was really good.

David Tennant was my favorite Dr Who, and there were several solid nods to the Tardis in the episodes. Michael Sheen is always solid also and had a nice supporting cast. Healthy use of Queen soundtrack. Good Brit humor.

If you're familiar with Gaiman's slight, clever and understated sense of humor in his books, I'd say this is in line with that. I've read some of his other works, just not this one.

Near as I can tell this was a one and done series. They wrapped it up. I assume it ended where the book did, but I haven't checked.

My wife liked it. I kept falling asleep on it. She read the books.

i just finished this. not a book reader. thought it was decent. no complaints just came away thinking, why did they make this? the two leads were great, but the story was pretty "meh" considering the stakes.. even for a comedy
