Kimberly’s triathlon career began in the 1990s, when she was working as an attorney at one of the largest law firms in the U.S. Kimberly decided to register for a triathlon so that she had a goal to help her stay motivated to exercise consistently while working in a demanding job with long, unpredictable hours and frequent travel. She immediately fell in love with the sport and went on to complete over 20 full-distance Ironman® triathlons, as well as countless 70.3s®, century rides, marathons, and other endurance events while working long, unpredictable hours and racking up elite frequent flier status.
Due to the nature of her work, Kimberly had to get creative in structuring a training plan that allowed her to meet her multisport goals while keeping her career on track. Along the way she learned a lot of tips and tricks, and she became a sought-after mentor for new triathletes looking for advice on finding a way to fit multisport into their busy lives. Kimberly’s passion for sharing her learnings with other busy athletes grew so much that after 25 seasons as a triathlete, she decided to focus more formally on mentoring and coaching new triathletes interested in learning how to fit triathlon training into their day-to-day lives. She is now a fitness consultant and certified triathlon coach and cycling coach, and remains passionate about helping busy athletes reap all of the many physical and mental health benefits of exercise without sacrificing their professional goals and family obligations. She most enjoys working with new athletes and time-crunched individuals, including triathletes, runners, and cyclists, as well as aspiring fitness enthusiasts who aren’t interested in racing but would like to embark on a lifestyle that includes regular exercise to improve overall health.
