Had a chance to do a 13 mile trail run in them yesterday and will be doing an XTERRA 15 mile trail race on Sunday. They are the best of both worlds: Zoot’s super comfortable and soft upper with a solid and grippy sole and protection from rocks. They have a very solid feel and platform. By comparison I had been using the Saucony Peregrines, which are a bit lighter then the ZOOTS. I liked them but they are a bit too narrow for my foot and the upper isn’t as nice as the ZOOT.
Nice looking shoe. I run in Saucony Peregrines…can you tell me how the upper is nicer on the Zoot?
He doesn’t have to tell you, he showed you a picture ![]()

i’m using and enjoying the Newton Momentus, have you tried those, and if so, how do they compare?
What’s the drop on those?
10mm
.
Why’d they go with so much drop?
What’s the drop on those?
Newbie…what’s a drop???
Nice looking shoe!
What’s the drop on those?
Newbie…what’s a drop???
The differential between the height of the heel and the forefoot (midsole plus sole plus insole).
When will they be available at retail?
Also, how do they fit compared to, say, the TT, Tempo, or Owva?
Bob
Any stability? Are they built similar to the OVWA?
It could be nicer in fit. I can’t see that in the pic.
No, there is no stability version. Does any trail shoe offer a stability option? They fit exactly like my TT 4.0’s and when I refer to a comfortable upper I mean they feel just like the TT’s as well.
