The Captain America Triathlon Speed Suit Heads To Market.
Press Release.
The Zoot Company is proud to release its new Summer Line of Captain America Triathlon Apparel, coming soon to a store near you.
Hold onto your pants triathletes, Zoot has just upped the ante on other triathlon apparel manufacturers this season with its new triathlon apparel line called the “Captain America” line. The new one piece triathlon suit is patterned after the tight aerodynamic garment worn by the famous, marvel comic book, crime fighter hero, “Captain America.”
“When we added the head air rudder to the top of this suit, and saw the results, I knew we had something,” said Bob Gifford, head of product design at Zoot, a new uniform even getting results from the pros. “I picked up gobs of minutes on the run, because of that top air rudder, like Captain America has” said triathlon champion, Simon Lessing. “I thought that top carrott patch looking thing on his head was just flare. I was wrong. As soon as they work out the kinks in the clipless boots, I’m sold.”
Gifford explained the Captain America line, “You can’t get more of a tight aero look in uniform than the Marvel Comic, Captain America. I’m shocked some of the triathlon aerodynamic guru’s haven’t picked up on the genius of what was in front of us. I mean, look at what he wears, he’s got wrist air foils, ankle air “cuffs,” side flaps, and forearm air guides, and what appears to be some kind of tiny top head rudder on his suit, not to mention that aerodynamic cape, he wears,” said Gifford.
“And yet the whole suit fits him so tight,” said Gifford. “Its no wonder Captain America runs so fast,” said Gifford. “Plus, as you know, the suit is water-proof, dirt-proof, and actually bullet-proof, too,” said Gifford.
How many of you are tired of losing seconds in the run leg because of unwanted air drag from your hair or hat or visor? Problem solved with the Captain America Tri Suit. And Zoot has enlisted the help of renowned bike aeroydynamic guru, Dan Empfield, to assist.
“We didn’t think of aerodynamic issues to come into play much during the run, until this Captain American suit came onto the scene,” said Empfield. “We tweaked the forearm air foils in the suit to help the athlete run faster through air currents and vortexes,” said Empfield. “Slower runners may get a huge boost also by turning the top head rudder at a steeper angle and also removing the slats,” said Empfield. “The sides slats and booty cuffs however need to be adjusted after coming into T-1,” said Empfield.
“There’s you water settings, your bike settings, and your run settings in this suit,” explained Empfield. “Fodder for bulletin board argument, probably,” Empfield quipped.
The Captain America line will be available late in the summer coming to a store near you.
