I looked on the Zipp website, but can’t figure out a very obvious question. If I buy a set of the 808 Clydesdales, do they come with hubsets or are the hubsets additional? If they do come with hubs, which hubs are they? Sorry to be so ignorant. Thanks for replies.
Related question re Zipp purchase: do the LBSs ever sell less than retail, or is there some kind of agreement to sell only at MSRP? If they do come down from retail, what’s a good percentage reduction to expect from your favorite LBS?
If you get complete wheels they come with Zipp hubs and Sapin spokes. Complete wheels are just that, put them on and ride. If you buy just the rims then you have these built up with the hubs and spokes of your choice.
Believe that Zipp requires its dealers to all sell at MSRP except for older year product. Hope this helps

I don’t think that Zipp “requires its dealers” to sell at MSRP. If it did, it would be in violation of a host of Federal trade laws. Now, can it strongly suggest that they sell at MSRP or “suffer” the consequences, well that’s where the lawyers make all their $$$'s…
Believe it’s perfectly legal for a manufacturer to require dealers to sell at MSRP. What would be illegal, would be for Zipp, Hed Blackwell, etc., to get together and decide that discs are going to be priced as X and 50 deep are going to be Y. That is price fixing.
