Zipp Vuma Quad with Rotor Q-rings

Do the Rotor Q-rings work with the Zipp Vuma Quad cranks?

Only if Rotor custom makes a set specific to the Zipp Vuma cranks. The Zipp cranks are a proprietary 4 bolt, 110mm BCD for the chainrings… rather than the 5 bolt 110mm or 130 or 135 of nearly every other road crank.

nope.

we’re actually working on them as we speak and tho the last ETA I received was march, I’m thinking it will be a little longer than that since we’re a little busy with the Cervelo Team. I believe in 53/39 and 50/34 to start.

Over and out,

Hi Kervin,

any update on the Q-Rings (aero)?
It is already mid June and nothing new on your website?

Thanks

Kim

Hi Kim,

I’m still waiting for the Factory to get back to me. unfortunately it doesnt look like we’ll make it by June, but hopefully not much longer. i’ll give an update on here as soon as i know more information in the next few days.

Anything new on this???

I literally sent the final design to Zipp a few minutes ago and we’re producing some initial units right away for testing. asuming that goes well, we’ll have them available shortly after, but looks more like Sept :frowning:

Looking for an update - Would really like to be a tester if possible :frowning: , Already use Q-Rings on my TT bike, but need some for my Vuma Quad on my Road Bike.

Hi Kervin,

Are you going to come up with an aero version, too?

Thanks

Kim

Not in the beginning. we did a rough design for both the TT version and a road version, but the road version was lighter so that’s what we went with. Speaking of which, here’s a glimpse. It’s a bad photo because of the angle, but I assure you they are normal Q-Rings. 52/36 combo for now.

I would be in for the version for Vuma Chrono.

The Chrono is going to be a wee bit tricky. No plans for it right now; sorry.

By the way, the Vuma Quad ring should be available around November/December.

Looking for my quarterly (sigh) update from Rotor regarding these rings :frowning:

The months roll by…

Can I assume that Rotor has decided not to pursue this venture due to a lack of demand?

hasnt been shelved, we were just waiting for Zipp’s approval of the design and shifting quality. they are now in production (really) but I dont want to give an ETA and dissapoint anyone else. I will post when we have an accurate ETA, but if anyone wants to be on the list for an email notification when they are available, you can email me at kervin@rotorbikeusa.com

Hi Kervin,

any update?

Thx

Kim

Hi Kim,

Latest update is Sea Otter which is April 15th. Hopefully we’ll have there the week after that ready to ship in the US.
