I’m an “almost clydesdale” - just a few pounds below the limit. If I add the weight of helmet, shoes and clothing and too much chocolate I’m sometimes above the limit. So do I order a normal Zipp wheelset or should I get the clydesdale version?
Normal. I had discussions with the Zipp rep in my area prior to purchasing my wheel set. I’m not sure it really makes a huge difference either way…but I went with a standard Zipp set after these discussions.
I was in the same boat and was told normal would be fine. They have been.
I am over 200lbs and have been riding the normal 404’s for the lat 5 years with no issues.
I go about 185-95 and I own the regular 404’s. No problems…and they are great wheels.
I spent a few years racing at 200 as well and had no problem with the reular Zipp 404 wheels.
