Are these worth getting Si3N4 Ceramic Bearings ? Do they make any real difference? Let’s say in a road race or 40K TT? What do you experts have to say?

And now for a serious reply ;-). I think the bearings are about $250 per wheel to upgrade. How much time savings over a 40k race would you consider them to be worth it?

I was looking for replacement bearings for my SPINERGY wheels a while ago and wanted to convert to ceramics. I could not bear to stomach the prices asked by the OEM so i hunted around a little on the internet and bought a set of full ceramic bearings from VXB. I knocked the old out and pushed these babies in there and i have been elated with the results.
I run these in the lightest of oils so there is just about no friction in the hub at all and when you spin the wheel it runs forever.

BTW, the spinergy takes the exact same bearing as the ZIPP
