Zipp 404 vs SRAM S60 vs Aeolus 6.5

As a front wheel for TTs how do these compare? Does anybody know of wind tunnel data comparing the three? Anyone ridden all three? I’m particular considering the 404 vs the aeolus 6.5. Thanks!

I’d be interested as well, as I’m going with the Aeolus 6.5’s this year. They look beautiful, but I have yet to spend much time on them.

I know one difference is that the 6.5 and 404 are full carbon wheels, while the SRAM wheel has an aluminum braking surface.

Clinchers or Tubies?
I like the 2009 Zipp 404 clinchers a lot. Not so heavy, aluminum braking surface, crazy fast, stiff and durable.
I jammed my front wheel into a pothole yeasterday that would have fractured an all carbon wheel for sure.

The Aeolus 5.0 compares closer to the 404 I think. I have been wanting to get a bontrager set of wheels for a while. I vote that you get the Aeolus and let us know how you like it.

Over the past few years the Zipp 404’s have become better and better. They are lightweight, well made, versatile and fast. Zipp has excellent customer service in that rare event that something goes wrong.

I had an 808 delaminate along the braking surface. Sent it back to Zipp and 7 days later I have a brand new wheel.

Two thumbs up for Zipp.
