Front wheel purchased new at the end of the 2005 season. It was handbuilt by Rich Sarwis at Wheelbuilder.com with 24 silver, bladed sapim xray spokes laced to a Zipp hub. It is a dimpled version. I have used it exclusively for racing while using a Powertap rear wheel. It has the milage from 8 races and a handful of training rides…less than 500 miles. It has never been wrecked or otherwise abused, rolls smooth and true.
Why the extra spokes? I race at 190lbs and they were added for extra strength and durability at a marginal aero and weight penalty. Bottom line is the wheel is bomb proof.
