Zeroing Powertap on 705

In the Powertap manual, it talks about how to zero the torque on the computer, but i am using a 705 and not the computer that came with the powertap. Do I need to zero/calibrate? How? Thanks

Would also love to know this if anyone has some insight to share.

Yes.

Spin the wheel to “wake” it up. Press the menu button on the 705. Navigate to “settings” and then the “ANT+” selection. Finally…and this is by memory here…select the “Accessories” button (or something like that). This should get you to a screen that has a “calibrate power meter” button at the bottom. Garmin calls zeroing “calibration” for some reason. Do it with the wheel stopped and no load on it.

At least that’s what I’ve been told you should do for a PT…I have to do the same basic thing to manually zero a CinQo.

Either that, or you guys could just RTFM
