Hi everyone,
We are working on our new tri shorts right now and would like to know what the most important features for you guys are?

  • pockets, silicone leg gripper, …
    Any feedback is welcome.
    Thanks.

NO LEG GRIPPERS! Look at new designs from Zoot and Louis Garneau. Wider compression bands instead of leg grippers, since you guys claim you are in compression business lets see if you can do better job

I like the comfort of a low rise waist because I have somewhat of a belly and shorts I have to pull up, eventually ROLL down! Articulated crotch area, one that is very snug without having to pull them so hard that guys get frog eyes.

ok, thanks so much.

Silicon grippers work the best. I found that LG shorts are nice, but the stitching is REALLY tight. So I can’t wear them. No pockets - they are pointless for me, and if you swim well - drag.

Shorts that are slightly lower in the front than the back work for me.

Having a seam on the inner leg rubs against my seat causing it to fray and come apart. Moving that seam higher or lower like Oomph Vigor shorts so is a much more practical.

I like pockets big enough for 2 gels. I rarely use shorts without a pocket.

x2. I love LG stuff, but I can’t wear some of it because I’m allergic to the elastic in some of the products.

yeah how LG has their leg things arent comfy for longer races…if you like your shorts snug. Pockets on lower leg are nice for gel flask for run. A small fleece pad or a the other style thin pad is cool but more important its the seams…those are what make it or break it for me. Why I have really liked Desoto and 2XU’s. grippers arent a big deal alot seem to dislike and flip them out.

As a female…I like grippers, but not sausage casing makers. Silicone is nice. :stuck_out_tongue:

I lower rise is good–I don’t want my crack hanging out, but I don’t want my waistband pulled up to my pits, either. Esp. since I wear my shorts around my hips, and have long legs…but a midget torso.

I also like a short inseam, which seems to be difficult to find these days. 3-4 inches is ideal.

Personally, I don’t want a pocket. I don’t need any additional lumps and bumps. If there is a pocket, just a small key pocket (like in running shorts) is okay.

Material that is NOT “shiny”. I wear my race belt low on my hips, and “shiny” material makes it rise up and migrate to my boobs. (I don’t know what the technical term for that is)

Personally, my all time favorite tri shorts were the sugoi tri shorty from a few years ago.

Low rise waist, no drawstring, and a longer inseam for a more uniform compression. Also, a rear center pocket is a good location for carrying small nutrition (gel packs or small flask).

Big crotch padding to inflate the size of my junk
.

No Pockets!!! I do like a draw string. This felt padding is what I find most comfortable and wide gripper

“something in a low rise bikini. mesh if possible.”

I really love my 2xu compression tri shorts b/c they have a real chammy (I’m not one who likes the thin piece of felt) and offer some support. But ideally, if you made a short with more hammie compression i’d look at it.

No drawstring, it’s annoying and rubs on your lower stomach. If the shorts fit well, it is not needed.

A wider waist band, like 1" or so, same at the bottom of the legs. Thin pieces of elastic at the waist or legs bottoms pinch.

I like different colors! Bring back the red shorts!

2XU Endurance has those 1 inch no drawstring and low rise.

And that’s what I wear

Best shorts ever, and a small, center/rear pocket, which works well. Pockets aren’t a must-have, but if there is going to be one, that seems like the best place.

RED SHORTS?

I’ll be the exception to the rule – I’s actually like to see a slightly longer leg – just above the knee…provides extra glide in the water…compresssion/support for the bike and tun – doesnt impede on the knee…

Just my personal preference for a short that doesnt exist…

Materials and comfort – I still use an almost 5 year old pair of desoto shorts for racing - very comfy, good weight…-- just wish the legs were longer…

No, I was replying to your post below that one about the 2XU Endurance shorts.

Although, I believe 2XU does make red shorts, maybe I’ll consider it

Btw, do people say “Two X You” or “Two Times You”, I say the first one, I think the second one sounds lame, how does the company refer it itself?
