“I was hoping we could catch up for a cup of coffee, so I could get your views on the environment, and strangle you.”
Awesome
.
jackmott drives a Prius!!!
jackmott drives a Prius!!!
yes but does it have the “disc cover” hubcaps?
Probably totalled the prius with no damage to the bike.
Dave
you know I’ve thought about it!
Probably totalled the prius with no damage to the bike.
Dave
yeah
the prius is made of stamped steel just like any othe car, bmws, vettes
no wait vettes are made from hydroformed steel
sometimes aluminum
with plastic fairings
cheaters!!
I saw a bumpersticker on a Hummer in Palo Alto. It said, “Relax… my other car is a Prius”
Probably the same guy.
That is pretty funny.
I imagine that if I do get hit by a car, it’ll be either by some monstrosity like an escalade or a hummer, or else a prius. just a hunch.
I’m glad to hear that … I thought it was balsa wood with stretched paper … I hate it when I get small car parts stuck in the nobs of my hummer tires;-)

Actually the floorpan of the prior generation and current generation vette IS made of balsa wood. It is coated in aluminum. As well the frame rails are hydroformed aluminum and the body panels are all made of a plastic/fiberglass composite material (excluding some panels on the Z06 and many on the ZR1 which are made from carbon fiber).
The vette actually has great crash ratings, which shows that its not about the material but the engineering behind it.
Apparently they burn really well, though. http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_13303846
the frame is only aluminum on the z06 and zr1 models.
the normal vettes are steel

Last year one of my friends was leading a paceline when a Prius sped up and passed them, then promptly did a right hand turn in front of the paceline. My friend had no chance to stop, slamming into the side of the Prius, breaking her collar bone and getting knocked unconscious. The eco-douche then sped away as my friend laid unconscious in the middle of the road. Fortunately 2 of the riders from the back of the paceline chased him down to catch him stuck @ a light and call the police. He said he didn’t know my friend hit him (the dent on the side of his car said otherwise.)
Probably pissed he wasn’t getting as good mileage as the paceline.

yes but does it have the “disc cover” hubcaps?
So does the bra negate any benefit gained by the disc covers?
Probably pissed he wasn’t getting as good mileage as the paceline.
hmm, then whose really ECO here?
That is great
.
And does it have an internal Bento Box? I heard the new models have those standard.
I am sure you are aware that the bodys (for OE) have always been fiberglass (Carbon on the LeMans version)
.
not surprised to see this. i’ve been struck twice by a car and both times the car was a prius.
