Talking about Obama’s stimulus plan…

House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (Boner?)took aim at a House provision that would eliminate a bureaucratic hurdle for states to offer Medicaid recipients contraceptives, with most of the money coming from the federal government.
“How you can spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives?” the Ohio Republican said. “How does that stimulate the economy?”
Heck, I get stimulated just reading about contraceptives. :wink:

At issue here is a very real concern that the “stimulus plan” will be used to bury a ton of spending that otherwise wouldn’t necessarily get passed. Whether that spending is proposed by Republicans or Democrats, it shouldn’t be allowed to slide through as “stimulus”.
