So now, when he gets a + test he can claim that he had no idea what the doctors were giving him

Of course, it’s got nothing to do with needing an excuse to get out of the Giro again?

Wow. That is unfortunate. Never like to see this happen - but it does happen in cycling.

The remarkable thing about Armstrong is that in his seven Tour de France wins, things like this rarely if ever happened to him - while pretty much everyone of his main competitors over the years were felled by various crashes, injuries and illnesses. I have said it before, but he had remarkably good luck or he made his luck - however you want to look at it.

poor guy. Hope its not as bad as it sounds.

Why do you need to disguise his name?

You’re just mad at him because he doesn’t ride Campy!

I hope it’s not as bad as it sounds, I’ve been there before and it sucks.

Have certain Spaniards been practicing wheel clipping techniques? I’m surprised no one has mentioned how the use of steroids can lead to reduced bone mineral density and increased probability of fractures…

Seriously, that sucks, especially since it means missing the Giro. I thought Lance’s training was coming along nicely and the Castilla would have really have helped him. I hope he has a fast recovery in time for the Tour. The injury might just give him that little extra motivation to go that 120% that Lance is famous for when he gets perturbed.

He’s tough, depending on how severe the break, he could easily be back in July.

This confirms that he’ll have to be focussed on the TdF and the TdF only.

Hope Alberto doesn’t mind.

Brad

Rats. That’s going to make swim training for Kona kinda tough.

You mean LAUER right?!?!?

To be fair, I think that racing bikes seriously leads to a 100% chance of breaking a collar bone!

Is it just me, or was he crying in that video? Come on Lance HTFU!

Seriously though, I hope he recovers quickly. I think this will just help fuel the inner fire.

Amazing how narrow that road was/is - looked like barely one lane wide. One guy goes down and he’s going to take at least 10 - 20 or more guys down behind him in a big pack of 100+. Bad luck and timing.

You can tell that Lance knew right away, that he was done. Too bad. Hope that he bounces back from this quick.

Gads. When you see someone that tough down like that and clearly unable to get back up you know he is hurt. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. I hope he heals up quickly.

every second this guy is out is that much less done for cancer. That’s a much bigger issue than the TdF.
