Xterra Vortex wetsuit

Just got a gift certificate for $100 off the Xterra Vortex fullsuit as part of an award at Treasure Island Sprint. Any opinions on the suit? It’ll be $375-$100=$275 and ordered by mail directly from Xterra. I should find a dealer to try one on but then we have that dilemma of fitting at the store and buying elsewhere. I’m looking for a replacement for my Piel which is too tight in the chest, neck and crotch, but comes off faaaaast! Thanks.

Look into different kinds of rubbers used in wetsuits. You will find that the rubber in the Vortex is like a glove. I think it is Yamaha rubber or something. Way superior in feel to, for instance, the Ironman rubber which is stiff. The guy who started Xterra is the guy who got Ironman Wetsuits started in the US.

The above is probably 80% accurate.

I have an Xterra Vortex and it is really nice. It’s not the most flexible suit made, but it will certainly work for a majority of triathletes. Not to mention, Keith, the owner, is a great guy and the customer service is awesome. You’re getting a great deal, IMO.

Best wetsuit in the World. My opinion. Its becomes a part of you. Full range of motion. There are so many panels, its as if they built it just for you.

My Opinion…

I love mine…much, much more flexible that the QR I had (before being stolen). I do find it to keep me a little less warm in colder water…

You WILL NOT be dissapointed…the BEST wetsuit out there BY FAR!
And the customer service is AWESOME!!!
